These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the mobile application currently named RigTrip, any future name we give that same application, related websites, and associated services (collectively, the “App”).
By downloading, installing, creating an account, asking the App a question, or otherwise using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms are a product template and are not legal advice. Have a licensed attorney review them before publication.
1. Who we are
RigTrip is a fishing intelligence application.
The App may provide:
Weather information
Marine conditions
Tide information
Fishing conditions
Fishing scores
Species information
Catch logs
Fishing tools
AI-powered fishing assistance
Personalized fishing intelligence

“We,” “us,” and “our” mean the Operator.
“You” means the person using the App.
2. Future name changes
RigTrip may change its public name, logo, icon, website, or branding.
A name change does not automatically create a new service or contract.
These Terms continue to apply to the same underlying App and service unless we provide different Terms.
If the App is renamed, references to “RigTrip” in these Terms mean the same service under its new public name.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use RigTrip.
If you are under 18, you may use the App only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
RigTrip is intended for users in the United States.
You are responsible for following all applicable fishing, boating, wildlife, environmental, and other laws where you fish.
4. Fishing information
RigTrip may provide information about:
Weather
Wind
Temperature
Rain
Marine conditions
Tides
Currents
Moon conditions
Fishing times
Species
Fishing techniques
Fishing locations
Other environmental conditions
Information may come from third-party data sources.
Data may be delayed, incomplete, estimated, unavailable, or inaccurate.
RigTrip does not guarantee fishing success, fish activity, catch results, or the accuracy of every fishing recommendation.
5. AI Fishing Assistant
RigTrip includes AI features that can answer fishing-related questions.
AI may provide information about:
Fishing techniques
Species
Bait
Lures
Rigs
Weather
Fishing conditions
Locations
Fishing strategies
General fishing regulations
Other fishing-related topics
AI-generated information may be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or misleading.
AI responses are not official government information, legal advice, navigation instructions, emergency instructions, or a guarantee of fishing success.
Always verify important information with appropriate official sources.
6. AI Memory and Personalization
RigTrip may use information from your interactions with the App to personalize future fishing recommendations.
This may include:
Fishing preferences
Species preferences
Techniques
Gear
Saved locations
Catch information
AI conversation information
AI Memory is intended to make future responses more relevant.
AI Memory does not mean that the underlying AI model is automatically retrained after every question.
Learning may occur through user-specific memory, stored information, system updates, AI evaluation, aggregated patterns, or future improvements to the App.
You may have controls to review, edit, or clear AI Memory.
7. Location permissions
RigTrip may use precise or approximate location information when you authorize location access.
Location may be used to provide:
Local weather
Fishing conditions
Tide information
Species information
Fishing intelligence
Location-based recommendations
You control location permissions through your device settings.
Turning off location access may make some features unavailable or less accurate.
RigTrip is not an emergency, navigation, chartplotting, or life-safety system.
8. User Content
You may enter information such as:
Fishing logs
Photos
Notes
Locations
Catch information
Fishing preferences
Questions
AI conversations
You retain ownership of content you submit.
You give RigTrip permission to store and process that content as reasonably necessary to provide the App, maintain your account, provide personalization, operate AI features, and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
Do not upload information you do not have the right to use.
9. AI and data use
By using the AI features, you understand that your questions, prompts, conversation context, feedback, and related information may be processed to provide AI responses.
Depending on the App’s configuration, information may also be used to:
Evaluate AI responses
Detect errors
Improve fishing recommendations
Improve personalization
Improve AI systems
Develop future App features

10. Safety
Fishing and outdoor activities involve risks including:
Weather
Lightning
Waves
Currents
Tides
Heat
Cold
Wildlife
Boats
Traffic
Slippery surfaces
Remote locations
Other environmental hazards
You are responsible for your own safety.
Always check official forecasts, marine warnings, navigation information, emergency information, and applicable regulations.
Do not use RigTrip as your only source of safety information.
11. Fishing regulations
RigTrip may provide explanations or general information about fishing regulations.
Regulations can change and may differ based on:
State
Federal waters
Location
Species
Season
Size
Bag limits
Gear
Protected areas
You are responsible for knowing and following the current laws that apply where you fish.
When available, verify information through the appropriate official wildlife, fisheries, parks, marine, or federal agency.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use RigTrip for unlawful purposes
Use the App to evade fishing enforcement
Circumvent usage limits
Scrape App data
Reverse engineer the App except where permitted by law
Interfere with the service
Upload malware
Abuse AI systems
Submit another person’s private information without permission
Harass or stalk another person
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App
We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the App, users, or our systems.
13. Intellectual property
The App, software, design, graphics, text, logos, AI systems, and original content are owned by the operator of RigTrip or its licensors.
You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive license to use the App for lawful purposes.
You do not receive ownership of the App, its software, AI systems, or underlying technology.
14. Third-party services
RigTrip may use third-party services for:
Weather
Tides
Marine information
Maps
AI
Hosting
Analytics
Authentication
Payments
Other App functions
Third-party services may experience outages or provide inaccurate or unavailable information.
Their own terms and privacy policies may apply.
15. Subscriptions
If RigTrip offers subscriptions:
Prices will be shown before purchase.
Subscriptions may automatically renew.
Cancellation must generally be completed through the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play account.
Refunds are generally handled according to the applicable platform’s policies.
Subscription prices and features may change with appropriate notice.
16. Disclaimer
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT WEATHER, TIDE, MARINE, FISHING, SPECIES, REGULATION, LOCATION, OR AI INFORMATION WILL ALWAYS BE ACCURATE, CURRENT, COMPLETE, OR AVAILABLE.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE FISHING SUCCESS OR CATCH RESULTS.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of RigTrip will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of RigTrip.
Our total liability will not exceed the greater of:
(A) the amount you paid us for the App during the twelve months before the claim; or
(B) US $25.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
18. Termination
You may stop using RigTrip at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of:
Violation of these Terms
Security concerns
Abuse
Legal requirements
Discontinuation of the App
Certain provisions may continue after termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, and other provisions that naturally survive termination.
19. Governing law
These Terms are intended for users throughout the United States.
Applicable federal and state laws may apply.
Nothing in these Terms permits you to ignore the laws or regulations of the jurisdiction where you fish.
20. Changes
We may modify these Terms when the App changes.
If we make a material change, we may provide notice through the App, email, or another reasonable method.
The updated Terms will show a new “Last updated” date.
21. Privacy Policy
Your use of RigTrip is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information.
