3. Location
If you grant location permission, RigTrip may use your location to provide location-specific fishing intelligence.
For example, location may help determine:

Temperature
Rain

Currents
Fishing conditions
Relevant species
You can change location permissions through your device settings.
4. Weather and environmental APIs
RigTrip may use free or publicly available API services to obtain weather and environmental information.
A service being free to use does not necessarily mean that no information is transmitted to that service.
When necessary, RigTrip may send information such as:
Selected location
Coordinates
Date
Time
Requested environmental information
to the applicable service to provide the requested feature.
5. AI
RigTrip uses artificial intelligence to provide fishing-related assistance.
Your AI interactions may be processed to:
Generate answers
Maintain conversation context
Personalize responses
Build AI Memory
Evaluate responses
Correct errors
Improve fishing intelligence
Improve the App’s AI systems
AI information may be stored and processed by RigTrip and, where applicable, third-party technology providers used to operate the AI feature.
The actual providers used by the production version of RigTrip should be identified or accurately described before launch.
6. AI Memory
RigTrip may maintain information about your fishing preferences and previous interactions to personalize future responses.
Examples include:
Favorite species
Fishing techniques
Gear
Bait
Lures
Fishing locations
Fishing preferences
You may have controls to review, modify, or clear AI Memory.
7. AI training and improvement
We may use conversations, feedback, corrections, and related information to evaluate and improve RigTrip’s AI systems.
This may involve:
Automated analysis
Human review where appropriate
Aggregated information
De-identified information
AI evaluation
System updates
Future model improvements
The underlying AI model may not be retrained immediately after every question.
Deleting a conversation does not necessarily remove information that has already been incorporated into aggregated, de-identified, or previously created AI-training or evaluation materials.
8. Sharing information
We may share information with service providers that help operate RigTrip, including providers for:

Tides
Maps
Cloud hosting
Analytics
Authentication
Security
Customer support
Payments
We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect our users, systems, rights, or property.
We do not sell your personal information simply because you use RigTrip.
9. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
Provide the App
Maintain accounts
Provide AI functionality
Maintain fishing records
Maintain security
Improve the service
Meet legal requirements
Resolve disputes
Different information may have different retention periods.
10. Deleting information
Delete your account in the App. Open Settings and choose Delete Account. That deletes the account in the App. You do not have to email us.
You can also delete:
AI Memory
Conversations
Fishing logs
Account information
Email rigtrip@agentmail.to only if you cannot open the App.
Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or other legitimate purposes.
Information already incorporated into certain aggregated, de-identified, AI-training, or evaluation systems may not be individually removable.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information.
However, no internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.
12. Children’s privacy
RigTrip is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required consent.
If we learn that we have improperly collected information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
